At Penn’s Common Dental Group, our dental assistants are highly qualified and provide excellent care.
Deb, Certified Dental Assistant
As Berks County native, I was born and raised in West Reading and graduated from Wyomissing Area High School. I attended Northampton Community College’s Dental Assisting program and received my CDA in 1997.
I am proud to be one of the dental assistants at Penn’s Commons Dental Group. After 20 plus years here, I cherish the close relationships I have developed with patients, my co-workers and the doctors.
Heidi, Certified Dental Assistant, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
My journey at Penn’s Common Dental began in 1984. After finishing my second year of college, I was confused about my career choices. Then, I switched gears and answered an ad that lead me to Penn’s Commons when the office was located on Penn Street. With the support of the doctors and my coworkers, I continued my education at Harcum College for two additional years to earn my license to practice as an EFDA in Pennsylvania. Being an Expanded Function Dental Assistant allows me to treat patients in some of the same ways the doctors can and aid in a more intimate level of care.
My time here with Jim, Sam and my coworkers has been one filled with friendship and encouragement. The past 35 plus years have flown by and I am grateful for the trust granted by patients along with the encouragement, laughter, and many friendships I’ve made over the years.
Kenzi, Dental Assistant
My story begins by growing up as a patient at Penn’s Commons. Then, at one of my hygiene visits, it all clicked and I said to myself, “I love dentistry and I’d like to work there someday.” After attending school at Berks Technical Institute, I completed my internship here and became part of the family as one of the dental assistants.
Overall, I enjoy working with the doctors and growing as a member of a great team of caregivers.
